The Touch Pro 2 was the 2009 replacement for HTC’s popular Touch Pro business-oriented touchscreen.
Features and Performance
As well as a very large, high-resolution screen it features a slide-out tilting Qwerty keypad and touch-sensitive zoom bar, coupled with HTC’s effective TouchFlo 3D UI to disguise the underlying Windows Mobile OS. HTC make a big feature of the Touch Pro 2’s calling performance, claiming that dual noise-cancelling microphones and stereo speakers mean it can be used as a high quality speakerphone for conference calls. With WiFi, HSDPA, HSUPA and A-GPS it’s certainly not lacking in connectivity either. As you might expect in a business model, there’s no great focus on multimedia support but while the 3.2MP camera isn’t amazing, autofocus should mean you can take reasonable shots. Despite all the features, by equipping the Touch Pro 2 with a fairly high-capacity battery HTC claim very decent standby and talktime. The downside to all this is that this is a rather bulky and very heavy handset.
Conclusion
A great business tool with a solid feature set.
