The Roberts R9993 is a small battery powered portable offering FM, MW and LW coverage.
Features and Performance
Although it is not supplied with one, the radio has a socket for an optional mains adapter.
The radio is silver, with an angled top and is designed in Roberts Radio's ëClassic' style.
The controls are simple and easy to use. The rotary volume control on the radio's side is used to turn it on. The large tuning knob works effectively to tune to the selected band.
The tuning scale is small, but clearly marked. The limited travel on the tuning scale makes the radio most suitable for picking up strong stations.
Sound volume was reasonable for a small portable radio, but there is no tone control. The earphones output is mono only.
Conclusion
A compact radio with limited features.
